THINK YOU DON’T FIT THE MOLD OF A YOGA TEACHER?
I transform regular women, just like you, into remarkable yoga teachers.
Not skinny, trendy + overly bendy
The stereotypical yoga teacher seems to be a size 2, modern-day contortionist who belongs on a glossy magazine cover. Her classes are hot and haute, and she shows off poses that intimidate the s**t of you. And everybody in class looks just like her.
Now imagine the yoga teacher who cares more about making a difference in the lives of others and practices yoga beyond the postures. She guides you to connect with your mind and body so that you may better understand yourself.
Purple Lotus Yoga teacher training caters to second kind–a real, regular teacher, if you will.
And if that sounds like you, grab an iced tea and stick around.
If you’ve taken yoga in any north Texas yoga studio, chances are good you’ve taken from a Purple Lotus trained teacher. I have the longest, continuously run Yoga Alliance approved training program in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.
I have more than 12,000 hours of teaching experience, and for 18 years, I’ve been mentoring and certifying teachers, many of whom have gone on to start their own studios, teacher training programs, and other yoga related businesses.
You can be a remarkable teacher too
While knowledge of the postures is the first step in becoming a skilled instructor, it’s not the only one. (And just because someone else CAN do all the cirque-like poses doesn’t mean they’d be a good teacher.)
It’s not about the yoga voice, Sanskrit-fluency or even wearing size 2 fancy pants….It’s about how the participants feel and what they experience during and after class. With my Texas accent, butchered Sanskrit, and size 8-10 off-brand yoga pants, I teach one hell of a class.
