online yoga teacher training

In these unprecedented times, it’s important to utilize virtual communities and gatherings whenever and wherever possible to lessen and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Thankfully Purple Lotus Yoga has been providing yoga teacher training resources online for several years. Online training can be delivered in two manners:

1. Prerecorded videos uploaded to some type of supporting platform (YouTube, Vimeo) where individuals can access the information 24/7. For the last couple of years Purple Lotus Yoga 200-hour training has been available in this format.

2. Live classes and training that stream via platforms like Facebook Live or through a video conferencing system such as Zoom.

For at least the next month, Purple Lotus Yoga will be providing yoga teacher training (both the 200-hour and 300-hour) via video conferencing. Video conferencing allows me to replicate (as close as possible) the feel of in-person training.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get started with online training?

In order to be considered enrolled for online training you will need to complete the REGISTRATION FORM. You will then be sent a confirmation email welcoming you to training. A few days prior to the meeting sessions you’ll also receive an email with details for joining the live online Zoom training and any materials you may need for that session.

Is it really donation/pay what you can?

Yes, while we’re under mandated quarantine protocols, the regular monthly payment is shifted to a donation/pay what you can basis.

However a few have asked about a minimum. In that case, a mininum donation of $50-100 per module is recommended.

Do you have a suggested donation?

No. And I also have zero judgment about what you may or may not be able to pay at this stage. However a mininum donation of $50-100 per module is recommended.

How do I make a donation?

You may use the payment buttons located on this page. I accept Venmo, Paypal, and credit cards.

What will the payments be after the quarantine is over?

After much consideration I have opted to do a 2-month incremental increase until payments are at their regular rates. For example, Month 1 after quarantine, payment is 25% of full monthly rate, Month 2 wil be 50%, and Month 3 will be full monthly payment.

It is my hope this will give everyone time to adjust financially.

How do I join the meetings?

All online yoga teacher training is conducted via Zoom. If you don’t have Zoom you will need to download it in order to use it. You can find the links to the appropriate meetings here on this page (they’re updated regularly) and the links are also emailed and posted in the group Facebook page.

What happens after quaratine?

Great question and one I don’t have a solid answer for yet. Right now there are too many unknowns to factor in to be able to adequately answer:

However, please know and understand as you make a commitment to me, I make one to you too. If you start yoga teacher training with Purple Lotus Yoga, I will do everything in my power to help you finish training.
