Yep. Stop dreaming. Right now. You’ve been thinking, dreaming, wishing, wanting, desiring for long enough.
It’s time to START DOING.
You’re not ready to decide? You’re not sure? You don’t know?
{Covers mouth with hand} Ahhh-bulshit–choo!!
Let’s test the ‘I DON’T KNOW’ theory
Grab a pen and some paper (or crayons and a Big Chief tablet): If you woke up tomorrow and were free to do anything you wanted with your life, what would you do and who would you be?
For most of my late 20s and early 30s I used the ‘I DON’T KNOW’ excuse every chance I got. Through marriage, jobs and moves, I bandied this phrase as often as I could, and then would follow it up with, “If I knew I wouldn’t make so many mistakes.”
HA!
And then….
AH!
The perspective of my late 30s and early 40s: Of feeling life pass by much too swiftly; witnessing loved ones pass on; and then suddenly motivated to have no regrets when it’s my time to die.
So I stopped dreaming.
And I got busy doing and living.
My ideal life now includes a wonderful marriage to a man who loves and respects me. A beautiful, whip-smart son who brings me untold joy everyday (and there was a time just about five years ago when I believed children were a lost dream).
I got busy in the career department and stepped fully into the work I’d been doing as my “retirement plan.” As a result of that decision, I’m at home everyday with my son.
For the most part I am living my ideal life.
For the most part.
There’s one area that I’ve held quietly in my heart. And that’s why I chose to do this blog challenge–to one more time take action and step fully into my dreams. To declare to the world (or at least my small corner of it) that I’m an author. I’ll soon be publishing Un-Hooked: Freeing Your Soul After Divorce.
After my own failed relationships, I decided to use my knowledge from the yoga world to change my life, and Un-Hooked shows you exactly what I did to transform the broken pieces of my life into this wild, beautiful, blessed life I lead.
And I want you to be able to do the same which is why I’m also adding personal coaching to my bag of tricks. To help you go from dreaming to doing!
I’d love to read a snippet of YOUR dreams. Share yours in the comments section.
P.S. If you truly aren’t sure about what you want to do, a coach might be exactly what you need!
P.S.S. If you’re ready to put your dreams into action, but aren’t really sure where to begin, coaching can help.
P.S.S.S. (Is there such a thing?) Remember to share a dream snippet with me.
